New Friends

We had a fantastic time at the Malvern Quilt Show, everyone we met was so nice. We just wanted to say a HUGE Thank-You to all the lovely people we met, especially the people who were either side and opposite us at the show.
Firstly thank you to Geoff and Jenni from M. Rosenberg & Son Fabrics. Geoff and his daughter were fascinated with the way we cut & folded our fat quarters and by Saturday we had nearly converted Geoff and had cut and folded some of his lovely cotton lawn fabric into 'extra fat' fat quarter bundles!
Also thanks to Roger who organised the show and for making us feel so welcome.
Next the lovely ladies from WonderFil Speciality Threads, Chris and Debbie who provided us with much needed "Threaducation" and plenty of support and guidance. They had lots of mouth watering threads with names like Spagetti, Fruitti, Tutti, Razzle & Dazzle. We were lucky enough to come away with some threads to try out at home.
Opposite was Sadie and her sister Sara from Cornerhouse quilts who specialise in Redwork Stitchery, Patterns, Bags and Quilts all in Country-Style fabrics. Sadie was the first person we spoke to when we walked into the empty marquee on Wednesday morning and she checked in on us every day to make sure we were OK.
Finally a big thank-you to everyone who we met at the show especialy all of our new customers. A big big Thank-You from the bottom of our hearts.
We look forward to meeting you all again soon.

Look out Malvern here we come!

We have recently had a couple of deliveries. First to arrive was the fantastic 'Made with Love' canvas. We have it in three colours: Aqua, Gold and Coral. Here I am modeling an Apron made by Natalie in the aqua colour.

She has made us one each for the show at Malvern. Here's Nataile's in the coral colour.

Also new in the shop are Layer Cake's and Jelly Roll's in Salt Air by Cosmo Cricket and School Day's by American Jane.

Please feel free to pop in and say hello if you are visiting the Quilt Show at Malvern. It is our first ever event and we are very nervous. We are madly cutting fabric and making lists!

'Walk In The Woods' arrived today.

Look what came this morning!! The full range of Walk In The Woods by Aneela Hoey. This whole range is just fantastic, my favourite has to be the apples and toadstools with the little birds.

While I was taking the pictures for the shop, look who came for a little peak, a Ladybird!

All this fabric will be listed in the shop over the weekend. If there is any particular combinations you want then comment or email and we'll get straight back to you.

Our Story

Pin It and Stitch was created in January 2012 by two sisters who love to sew, quilt and hunt for vintage treasures. We are obsessed with fabric, buttons, cotton and notions.

Our intention is to share our passion for Fresh, Funky and Modern quilting and aim to provide everything you could possibly desire to complete your projects.

Our family has always been our inspiration. Our Grandma was ‘In Service’ sewing for people in their homes, tailoring, dressmaking and alterations.

Our Mum, as a child handmade her dolls clothes and once she was old enough to use a machine she made all her own clothes and her wedding dress. When we came along she made our clothes including leotards, ballet tutus and an array of our many random requests.

Mum would spend hours teaching us both how to sew, passing on her knowledge. Our Aunty started sewing at the age of 14, her first job was in the rag trade making children’s clothes and samples for fashion designers. She also studied dressmaking and tailoring to enable her to teach others and introduced us to the world of quilting.

Without their inspiration and patience we would never have inherited this love of fabric which has resulted in ‘Pin It and Stitch’ being created.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our families, friends and everyone who has contributed towards making this happen.

Grow With Me.

All the lovely "Grow With Me" is listed in the Etsy Shop ***Ebay Shop***. I've got and idea of a little project that I want to try using these Cheeky Monkeys but I have to make a purchase first. I also love these Chickens as well, wouldn't they make lovely little bags for Easter?

My Goal for today is to get all the Sweetwater Reunion Listed in the shop. I've made a start and it is achievable as the boys have no football this weekend! This range is also beautiful. I've started a quilt for my Dad using one of our scrapbags and now we have the bolts of fabric I can finish it.

Hope you all have a crafty weekend.
